At the Market

The market is now closed for the 2011 season. We’ll be back in business the first Saturday in May. In the meantime, a number of our vendors are continuing to sell produce, baked goods, honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies at the Local Bounty store, Route 83, Coshocton -- near Lake Park. Stop in and check it out!

For Vendors

2011 Vendor Information

1. Coshocton Farmers’ Market will be available to persons or organizations interested in selling produce (fruits and vegetables), honey, preserves, baked goods, nursery plants, cheeses, processed meats, and handcrafted items. NO clothing (unless handmade for sale) or used items will be permitted. The Board of Directors must approve all new items.

80% of Produce and Goods Must Be Produced by the Vendor

2. The market will be open at Coshocton County Fairgrounds on Saturday mornings, May through October, from 8:30 a.m. until 12 noon. THERE WILL BE NO SALES UNTIL THE BELL RINGS to signal the opening of market. Vendor tables and booths will be located in the central grove of the fairgrounds. Parking will be in designated areas, and no thru traffic will be permitted in the Vendor Grove.

3. Vendors may park their vehicles BEHIND their tables or booths, as long as they arrive earlier than 8:20 a.m. Otherwise they must park outside the Vendor Grove during selling hours, for safety and to allow good visibility to shoppers.

4. Yearly members will be assigned a designated booth space for the season. Weekly vendors and mid-season newcomers will be assigned a space by the Market Manager, and location may change from week to week.

5. All non-yearly members (weekly vendors) MUST CHECK IN at the Welcome Station each Saturday BEFORE setting up, to pay weekly fee and be assigned a booth space. NOTE: Vendor Grove will be closed to ALL traffic, with the exception of emergency vehicles, at 8:20 a.m. Vendors must have product on site and vehicles in appropriate places at that time. Vendors who arrive after 8:20 a.m. must carry their goods to their sites. Also, those wishing to leave before market closes must carry their goods out of Vendor Grove. There will be ABSOLUTELY NO VEHICLES permitted through the selling area between 8:20 a.m. and 12 noon.

6. All vendors are required to pay a ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME REGISTRATION FEE OF $20.

7. Yearly membership is $100, in addition to the lifetime registration fee, and gives the vendor voting rights in accordance with the bylaws, reserved booth space for the season, and inclusion of their name or organization in advertising for the market.

8. The weekly vendor fee is $10 per Saturday, in addition to the one-time $20 registration fee. There are no voting rights for weekly vendors, and booth sites will be assigned according to space available when checking in.

9. Vendors who sell concession foods are responsible to obtain State and County Health Department approval and to present a temporary food license at time of check-in. All fees, and fines if incurred, are the sole responsibility of the vendor.

10. All vendors are responsible for following State of Ohio guidelines for the specific products they are selling. If a permit or license is required, it is the vendor’s responsibility to obtain it through necessary channels. The Coshocton Farmers’ Market Association will not be held responsible in any way for such guidelines not being followed.

11. Each vendor is responsible to obtain their own liability insurance.

12. Each vendor is responsible for the care and cleanup of their booth site after each market.

If you have questions, contact us through the website. If you are a yearly member and are unable to set up on a Saturday morning, please contact us before 7 a.m. on Saturday morning, so all spaces can be used.
